Cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer of Americans, affecting too many of our family and friends. The good news is that cardiac rehab (CR) is proven to reduce the likelihood of a second cardiac event. CR also reduces hospital readmissions, decreases health care costs, and improves the patients’ quality of life. But despite these clear benefits, only 20% of Medicare patients participate in CR programs.
Right now there is a bill in Congress that can help increase access to CR programs. Will you tell your lawmakers to cosponsor this bill?
